How fast can you actually get here?
For no-cooling emergencies in the GTA, usually same day — often within 4 hours. Scheduled visits: 1–3 business days.
What does a diagnostic visit cost?
Flat diagnostic fee (waived if you proceed with the repair). Written quote before any work starts — no guessing, no change orders.
Is my AC low on refrigerant?
If it's blowing warm air, there's often a leak — adding refrigerant without finding the leak is a 3-month fix, not a repair. We'll always locate the leak first and tell you the real cost.
R-22 vs R-410A — does it matter?
R-22 has been phased out; units that use it are expensive to service. If yours uses R-22 and is 10+ years old, replacement usually makes more sense than repair.
Should I upgrade to a heat pump instead of a new AC?
Often yes. A heat pump cools as well as an AC and heats all winter — and the Home Renovation Savings program pays up to $7,500 toward the switch if you're also replacing a gas heat source. A new AC alone gets you nothing.
What AC brands do you install?
Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Amana, Daikin — all major brands. We recommend by home size and cooling load, not by commission.
What size AC do I need?
Depends on home square footage, insulation, windows, and local climate data. We do a Manual-J load calculation — no "1 ton per 400 sq ft" guessing. Undersized AC runs constantly. Oversized AC short-cycles and leaves humidity behind.
What about annual tune-ups?
Yes — an annual clean-and-check in early spring catches most problems before they become no-cool emergencies in July. We offer multi-year plans with priority dispatch.
Own it or rent it — what are my options?
Both. Buy outright — you own the AC and unlock the heat pump rebate path if replacing. Rent from us — zero upfront cost, predictable monthly fee, full coverage (parts, labour, service, eventual replacement) included. We'll show both at the assessment.
