$1,250

Maximum attic rebate

Through Ontario's Home Renovation Savings program for qualifying R-60 attic upgrades.

R-60

Target depth · ~20 inches

Most GTA attics still sit at R-12 to R-30 — half of the modern code recommendation.

$8,750

Stacked with heat pump

R-60 attic ($1,250) + heat pump ($7,500) bundled in one project. We file both for you.

Where your attic likely sits today

Most GTA attics are at R-12 to R-30. The rebate target is R-60.

If your home was built before 2010 and the attic hasn't been topped up, you're almost certainly under-insulated. Our free inspection gives you the exact number — in writing — before you commit to anything.

What proper R-60 actually does

Lower bills. A warmer upstairs. A cheque from the province.

An attic upgrade is one of the highest-ROI moves in older GTA homes — especially when bundled with a heat pump on the same rebate program.

Cuts heat loss ~25%

Most GTA attics still sit at R-12 to R-30 — half of what they should be. Getting to R-60 slashes heat loss, lowers bills every month, and makes upstairs rooms actually comfortable in January.

Helps in summer too

Insulation works both ways. The same R-60 layer keeps July heat out, so your AC (or heat pump) doesn't run itself into the ground trying to cool a roasting attic floor. Year-round payback.

Bundle attic + heat pump — $8,750 back.

R-60 attic alone is $1,250. Pair it with a cold-climate heat pump and you unlock the full $7,500 heat-pump rebate. Same Home Renovation Savings program, same paperwork pile, we file it as one package.

A 60-second form or a 2-minute phone call — we'll tell you exactly what you qualify for, including whether your home is a fit for the heat pump rebate stack.

Cheap insulation jobs fail the post-audit.

BUT we're TSSA-licensed (FS-R-52162), insured by Zensurance, HRAI members, and WSIB cleared. We air-seal first — most installers skip this. Insulation on top of a leaky ceiling is a waste of cellulose and a guaranteed rebate denial.

We measure depth in multiple spots, photograph the finished job, and file the rebate so the $1,250 actually reaches you. If you want the rock-bottom phone quote, we'll respectfully point you elsewhere. If you want it done right once, let's talk.

Questions

Real homeowner questions, answered.

Is my attic eligible for the $1,250?

Most GTA homes currently below R-50 are eligible when upgraded to R-60 and a post-audit verifies the depth. We confirm eligibility at the free inspection — including photographing your existing insulation — and tell you straight before you commit to anything.

What's R-60 — and do I really need it?

R-value measures insulation's resistance to heat flow. R-60 is about 16–20 inches of blown cellulose, depending on settled compaction. It's the minimum modern building codes recommend for Ontario attics, and it's the qualifying level for the rebate.

Can you add to my existing insulation, or do you rip it out?

Usually we top up. If your existing insulation is dry, clean, and free of rodent or moisture damage, we air-seal first, then blow new cellulose on top. If it's been compromised, we remove first — we'll tell you straight after the inspection.

How long does the install take?

Most attic jobs: one day. Morning for air-sealing, afternoon for blowing in. You can stay in the house the whole time. We use drop-cloths on the access path and clean up like we were never there.

Will I notice a difference?

Yes — usually in the first winter. Upstairs rooms stay warmer, the furnace cycles less, monthly bills drop. We photograph before/after at the rebate post-audit and provide the depth verification data.

Can I combine this with a heat pump rebate?

Yes — and R-60 is actually a requirement for the full $7,500 heat pump rebate. Doing both jobs at once stacks rebates up to $8,750 back. Ask about combo pricing, and if you'd rather not buy the heat pump outright, ask about our rental program — zero upfront, predictable monthly, full coverage included.

What about mould, moisture, or rodents?

We inspect for all three at the free assessment. If we find issues, we'll tell you what has to be fixed before insulating — we won't insulate over bad attic conditions because that just hides them and makes them worse.

How long does the rebate take to arrive?

Typically a few months after install, depending on program volume. We handle all the filing — pre-audit, post-audit (required for attic rebates), utility submission — for no extra charge. You sign one authorization.

What happens after I book?

Within one business day a licensed contractor (not a sales rep) calls you, confirms a time, and books the free inspection. They photograph your attic, email a written quote + rebate estimate. You decide. No follow-up spam.
