GTA winters drop most homes to 15–20%. The fix is one box.
Below 30% relative humidity, wood splits, skin cracks, sinuses suffer. Above 50%, you risk window condensation and mould. The whole-home install lands you in the green band — and keeps you there automatically.

0tabletop tanks to refill, ever again
Less static. Stable hardwood. Better breathing.
A humidifier won't repair what's already cracked. It will stop everything from getting worse — and make winter feel like winter again, instead of a desert.
No more static shocks
Every doorknob and faucet stops biting. Pet fur stops standing on end. Clothes come out of the dryer normal. Static needs dry air; 40% RH ends it.
Protect hardwood + instruments
Ontario winters dry homes to 15–20% RH — that's what cracks hardwood, splits guitars and pianos, and gaps your doors. 40% RH keeps them stable.
Breathe easier
Drier air = more upper-respiratory irritation, worse asthma, more nosebleeds (especially in kids). 40% RH is the zone Health Canada recommends for most homes.
Done refilling tabletop tanks?
A whole-home humidifier ties into your furnace and the water line. Set it once. Never refill anything. We size it for your square footage and calibrate the humidistat so you don't damage your windows.
Cheap humidifier installs cause drywall damage later.
BUT we're TSSA-licensed (FS-R-52162), insured by Zensurance, HRAI members, WSIB cleared. We install on the correct side of the plenum, tie the water line properly, run the condensate drain to code, and calibrate the humidistat with outside-temperature compensation — so you never frost up your windows or rot the trim.
Shortcuts cause mould inside the return duct — we've seen them all. If you want the rock-bottom phone quote, we'll respectfully point you elsewhere. If you want it done right once, let's talk.

Real homeowner questions, answered.
Bypass or power-fan — which is better?
Power-fan units produce more humidity per hour and work better in larger homes (2,500 sq ft+). Bypass units are quieter and cost less. We size based on your square footage and duct layout — you get the right one, not the priciest one.
Does it work with any furnace?
Almost all forced-air furnaces, yes. Boilers and ductless systems need a different approach (portable or steam) — we'll tell you at booking which fits your home.
Will it damage my windows?
Only if set too high for the outside temperature. We install a humidistat that automatically reduces humidity as it gets colder, so you never frost up your windows or rot the trim. This is the #1 reason cheap installs fail.
How much maintenance does it need?
Annual pad/filter replacement (~$20 DIY, or we do it during your furnace tune-up). That's it. No scrubbing tabletop tanks, no white mineral dust on the furniture.
What does install cost?
Bypass units typically run $500–800 installed; power-fan units $750–1,200 depending on layout. We quote flat-rate before we start — no surprises on the invoice.
Can you install it during a furnace tune-up?
Yes — and we discount the bundle when both happen on the same visit. Ask when you book.
What's the difference vs a tabletop humidifier?
A tabletop unit serves one room and you refill it daily. A whole-home unit serves every room on the duct system, refills itself from the water line, and has a humidistat that prevents over-humidification. Once installed, you barely think about it.
What warranty do you offer?
Manufacturer warranty (typically 1–5 years on the unit) plus our written workmanship warranty on the install. Terms in writing before you sign anything.
End winter dryness for good.

P.S. If your hardwood or piano has already split, a humidifier won't un-split it — but it will stop the damage from getting worse. The sooner the install, the less you replace later.
