Air-conditioner symptoms can begin inside or outside.
Weak cooling, ice, water, unusual sound or frequent starts can involve the thermostat, filter, blower, coil, drain, electrical system, refrigerant circuit or outdoor unit. Replacing a part without confirming the operating condition can miss the cause.
Our technician documents the complaint, checks the system and explains the finding before non-emergency repair work is authorized. Equipment age, condition and repair scope can also be compared with a properly sized replacement option when useful.

The cause can range from thermostat settings and airflow restrictions to electrical, coil, refrigerant or outdoor-unit faults. A diagnostic separates the symptom from the cause.
Why is there ice on the air conditioner?
Restricted airflow, a dirty coil, a control issue or a refrigerant-system problem can contribute. Turn cooling off and arrange service rather than continuing to run a frozen system.
When should AC replacement be considered?
Replacement may deserve comparison when major components fail, refrigerant or coil work is extensive, comfort remains poor or breakdowns are recurring.
