One system.
Two seasons to check.
Heat-pump service that considers the indoor equipment, outdoor unit, controls, defrost operation, airflow and backup-heat strategy together.

Heat-pump repair must account for the complete system.
A heat pump changes operating modes with season and demand. Comfort problems can involve controls, airflow, the refrigerant circuit, sensors, defrost operation, the indoor unit, the outdoor unit or the configured backup heat.
Our diagnostic begins with the reported mode and outdoor conditions, then follows the system operation before a repair is proposed. That approach helps distinguish a normal cold-weather operating behaviour from a fault.
Do not chip ice from an outdoor coil or open refrigerant and electrical compartments. If there is electrical burning, smoke or another immediate hazard, turn the system off when safe and contact emergency help.
New system vs. keeping what you have.
Keep the current system
Good repair work starts
with the whole system.
Your air conditioner is more than the unit outside. Scroll through the system to see how each component works—and where our technicians look when comfort breaks down.
Condenser unit
The compressor and outdoor coil release heat collected inside your home. We test electrical components, refrigerant pressures, the fan motor and coil condition before recommending a repair.
- Warm air from vents
- Buzzing or hard starts
- Outdoor unit not running
Evaporator coil + blower
The cold evaporator coil absorbs indoor heat while the blower moves conditioned air through the home. Ice, restricted airflow or a tired motor can quickly reduce comfort.
- Frozen coil or water leaks
- Weak airflow
- Long cooling cycles
Ductwork + airflow
Even healthy equipment cannot perform through leaking, restricted or poorly balanced ducts. We check temperature split, static pressure, filtration and the air path—not only the machine.
- Hot and cold rooms
- Noisy registers
- High energy use
Thermostat + controls
Your thermostat, sensors and low-voltage controls tell every component when to run. A clean diagnosis separates a control problem from an expensive equipment problem.
- Blank or inaccurate display
- Short cycling
- System ignores settings

No cooling
System running but the home stays warm—or nothing starts at all.
Weak airflow
Low air volume, uneven rooms or a system that never catches up.
Noise or leaks
New rattles, buzzing, ice, moisture or water around the equipment.
Short cycling
Frequent starts and stops that affect comfort and equipment life.

1-833-700-4822 →Why does my heat pump run for long periods?
Variable-capacity systems can run longer at lower output by design. A new comfort problem, high energy use, icing or failure to reach setpoint should still be checked.
Is frost on the outdoor unit normal?
Light frost can occur and the system should manage it with defrost operation. Heavy persistent ice or a unit that cannot clear itself requires service.
Does the backup furnace or heat work during a fault?
That depends on the system design, controls and fault. The technician should verify the heat-pump and backup-heat sequence together.
