Air purification is not one technology. A whole-home electronic air cleaner is installed in the return duct to capture airborne particles as the blower moves air. An in-duct UV light is positioned to help control biological growth where moisture can collect around the indoor coil. These products do different jobs and may be used separately or together.
Infinite Home Comfort currently quotes an electronic air cleaner, the Swordfish UVA36WB UV light and a Lennox Healthy Climate UV germicidal light, subject to system compatibility and availability. Selection starts with the concern—such as airborne particles, coil growth or musty coil odours—then accounts for duct dimensions, equipment location, power, airflow and service access.
No HVAC accessory can guarantee protection from illness or remove every pollutant. UV treatment does not capture dust, pollen or smoke particles, while a particle cleaner does not replace humidity control, ventilation or source removal. Odours and gases may require a different strategy than either product provides.
Maintenance is part of performance. Electronic collector cells need periodic cleaning. UV lamps lose output over time and require periodic replacement; the HVAC system should be safely powered down and serviced according to the product instructions. Filters, blower cleanliness and airflow still need routine attention.
Whole-home equipment is well suited to households that want treatment integrated with a central forced-air system and prefer one service point over individual room units. A diagnostic or assessment is the right first step when the source of dust, odour or moisture is not known.

An air cleaner captures airborne particles as air passes through it. An in-duct UV light treats a targeted area inside the HVAC system to help control biological growth; it does not collect dust or other particles.
Can a whole-home air purifier prevent illness?
No product can guarantee that outcome. HVAC air-quality accessories may reduce certain particles or help control growth in a treated area, but they do not replace medical guidance, ventilation, cleaning or removal of pollutant sources.
Will UV treatment remove odours and gases?
UV may help when a musty odour is associated with biological growth near the treated coil area, but it does not capture particles and is not a general treatment for gases or every odour source.
How do you choose the right indoor-air equipment?
We begin with the concern and inspect the central system, duct dimensions, airflow, coil area, power and service access. The recommendation should identify what the proposed equipment is designed to address and what it will not address.
What maintenance is required?
Electronic collector cells need periodic cleaning, while UV lamps require periodic replacement as their useful output declines. Filters, the blower and the rest of the HVAC system still need normal maintenance.
